Wow!! It is hard to believe that in less then a week, we will be heading down to Oaxaca for 10 days. We have been preparing for this for quite a while now and are all so excited and nervous, but at the same time, feel blessed to have gotten this opportunity.
As some of you might know we are heading down to partner up with the FFHM group who run an orphanage in Oaxaca (you can visit www.ffhm.org for more information about their ministry there).
A few of us got to meet with North Shore Baptist church's Spanish congregation one Sunday to ask any questions, and to learn more about how a Spanish service might look like. This congregation not only has given us tips, moral support and prayers, but they helped collect candy for the kids that we will be visiting so that we can through them a Christmas Party!
Tonight is our Dodgeball game, which is helping us raise money for our trip, while connecting with our fellow students here.
